How to Print ID Photos at Migros: the Jet Photo Kiosk and a 10×15 Sheet

At Migros, ID photos are printed on the Jet Photo kiosk of some large stores: send the file by QR code, cable or USB and get a 10×15 cm print (101.6×152.4 mm). It holds four 50×60 mm biometric photos, the Turkish residence permit size, or eight 35×45 mm visa photos. The kiosk prints the file as it is; crop and white background come first.

Key takeaways

  • At Migros, ID photos are printed on the Jet Photo kiosk: the file goes over by QR code, cable or USB stick and comes out as a 10×15 cm print
  • One 10×15 sheet holds four 50×60 mm biometric photos, eight 35×45 mm visa photos or six 50×50 mm photos
  • The kiosk prints the file as it is; cropping, white background and the biometric check happen beforehand, and you bring a JPG, not a PDF
  • Not every Migros has the kiosk and breakdowns are common: call the store on the list before you go and ask whether the machine works

Where is it used?

If you live in Turkey, need a few photos for your residence permit, licence or passport, have a Migros with a Jet Photo machine nearby and would rather not go to a studio, this guide covers exactly that: you prepare the frame at home, download the 10×15 sheet with cut lines as a JPG, take one 10×15 print at Migros and cut it.

How it works

How to Print ID Photos at Migros: the Jet Photo Kiosk and a 10×15 Sheet — get it right in 4 steps.

  1. Prepare the photo and run the free analysis

Upload the frame and pick the document (residence permit, ID, licence, passport or visa). The AI sets the crop to the document's head ratio, moves the background to white and checks the rules one by one; if it passes, take the digital file.

  2. Download the 10×15 sheet as JPG and save it to the gallery

On your order page, open the Multiple copies card and tap JPG in the “Other formats” line. The frames arrive laid out at real size with cut lines. On iPhone, open the file and tap “Save Image”; the kiosk cannot see a PDF.

  3. Take a standard 10×15 print at the Jet Photo kiosk

Scan the QR code or connect the phone by cable, choose the sheet and select 10×15 as the size. Keep cropping, frames, filters and auto-enhance off. Pay the slip the machine prints at the checkout or the information desk.

  4. Measure, then cut along the lines

Measure one frame with a ruler: a 50×60 mm photo must be 5×6 cm. If it matches, cut right on the line with a craft knife and a ruler; if not, switch cropping off and print the same file again.

From your photo to delivery: how it works

  1. Take Your Photo ~30 sec

Upload a shot taken at home with your phone; no studio visit needed.

  2. AI Analysis ~1-2 sec

A 478-point face mesh checks head ratio, background, glasses and expression.

  3. Auto Fix instant

Background turns white and the crop is applied to the official size automatically.

  4. Digital Delivery instant

Download an application-ready JPEG matching the required size and file limit.

  5. Print & Shipping 1-3 business days

Printed ID photos are shipped to your address (optional).

Yes, but Migros does not take the photo; what happens in the store is printing. Some large Migros stores have a self-service print machine called Jet Photo. You connect your phone by QR code or cable, or plug in a USB stick, and choose the photo and the size on the touchscreen; the machine issues a slip, you pay it at the checkout or the information desk, and the print comes out of the machine. On the Migros website the service is listed as “Fotoğraf Baskı 10X15” and “Fotoğraf Baskı 15X20” (photo print). The machines are mostly in 5M, MMM and shopping-mall Migros stores, not in small neighbourhood branches.

The key point: Jet Photo is a printer, not an ID photo studio. It prints the frame you give it; it does not check whether the background is white, whether the head is the right size for the document, or whether there is glare on glasses or a shadow on the face. Users report that some machines do not even offer an ID photo size. That is why most people who print ID photos at Migros follow the same route: prepare the photo to size at home, lay it out on a 10×15 sheet, take one standard 10×15 print and cut it. This guide follows that route: you prepare the frame with the online ID photo tool, download the 10×15 sheet with cut lines as a JPG and only print it at Migros.

Two other Migros services are easy to confuse with this. The first is Jet Photo's online printing: you buy a package with a PNR code at Migros, upload the photos to jetfoto24.com and the prints arrive by courier; the smallest 10×15 package is 25 prints, which is a lot for a single ID sheet. The second is the items listed on the site as “Jet Foto Vesikalık 2'li” and “4'lü”; the product pages do not say what they include, so ask in the store. The prices in the table were read from the Migros website on 7 October 2026; in the store, the amount scanned at the checkout applies. vesikalik.com.tr has no partnership with Migros or Jet Photo; the information on this page was compiled from public sources.

Migros does not publish the list of stores with Jet Photo on its website. The table is the list Migros's WhatsApp customer service sent with the reply “You can reach our stores that print photos from the list we sent below”, shared by a user on the DonanımHaber forum on 24 October 2025: 82 stores in 29 provinces. Istanbul has 23, Ankara and İzmir seven each, and the areas popular with foreign residents are on it too: Antalya, Alanya, Bodrum (Konacık), Kuşadası and Bursa. Most of the list is 5M, MMM and shopping-mall stores.

Treat the list as “call before you go”, not as a guarantee. On the same forum, users reported in March 2025 that the Meydan Istanbul store in Ümraniye had become a smaller format and the machine was removed, in July 2025 that one of the two machines at 5M Eryaman in Ankara was broken, and in October 2024 that the device at 5M Manisa was not working; several users also write that machines were removed in smaller cities. Call the store first: the phone number is next to the store name on Migros's “En Yakın Migros” (nearest store) page. Asking “Does your Jet Photo machine work, can I print a 10×15?” is enough.

If there is no store from the list near you, the same JPG sheet prints anywhere else: any photo shop, stationery shop or mall photo kiosk that prints 10×15 will do, because the file is exactly the size of the paper. To compare with what photo studios charge for ID photos, see the ID photo prices guide.

How Many ID Photos Fit on a 10×15 Print?

The paper called “10×15” in photo printing is really 4×6 inches: 101.6×152.4 mm. At 300 DPI that is 1200×1800 pixels, and the kiosk's standard 10×15 print uses this paper. The ID photos are laid out at their real size, edge to edge with no gaps, the way photo studios do it, and you cut along the shared edges. The table shows how many frames each size gives; the numbers are the layout calculation of the sheet file on this site.

On a 50×60 sheet of four, two photos side by side take 100 mm and the paper is 101.6 mm wide, which leaves about 0.8 mm on each side. Borderless printers may trim a little off the outer edge of the paper, so the sheet carries cut marks along its edges and any trimming falls on the outer background, not on the face. If you want more copies, you can send the 15×21 (6×8 in) sheet to the 15×20 print at Migros: the two papers have the same proportions and the sheet holds nine 50×60 or sixteen 35×45 frames; measure one frame with a ruler after printing all the same. If you have a printer at home, the A4 sheet holds twenty 50×60 photos.

The sheet downloads in two formats. JPG is the one you save to your phone's gallery and send to the kiosk by QR code or cable. The PDF's page size is the paper itself, which makes it right for printing at 100% on a home or studio printer, but photo kiosks cannot see a PDF. Go to Migros with the JPG. The file stays on your order page, and you can download it again as often as you like, also in a different sheet size, cut style or format.

How Do You Print a Phone Photo at Migros? Step by Step

Start with the photo itself. Take a single frame in daylight, in front of a plain wall, with the phone at eye level; light and distance are covered in the guide to taking an ID photo with a phone. Upload it to the wizard and pick the document: the Turkish residence permit, passport and driving licence need 50×60 mm, a Schengen visa needs 35×45 mm. The AI sets the crop to the document's head ratio, moves the background to white and checks the rules one by one; the analysis is free. If the result passes, you take the digital file and the “Multiple copies” card appears on your order page.

On the card, tap JPG in the “Other formats” line: the 10×15 sheet with cut lines downloads to your phone. On Android the file lands in Downloads and shows up in the gallery. On iPhone, Safari saves it to the Files app; open the file and tap “Save Image” in the share menu to move it into Photos. If you send the file to yourself on WhatsApp to save it from there, send it as a document, not as a photo; WhatsApp shrinks photos.

The machine has three ways to receive a file. The smoothest is the QR code: scan the code on the screen with your phone camera and choose the sheet on the page that opens. On a cable you need to allow file transfer on the phone; the machine then shows your folders, with camera photos in DCIM and the downloaded sheet in Download. Users mention that on some machines the Type-C port is only on one side; a USB stick works too. Once the file is selected, choose the standard 10×15 print as the size; skip the collage, calendar and card templates, keep cropping, frames, filters and auto-enhance off if offered, and set the quantity to one. When you confirm, the machine prints a slip; you pay it at the checkout or the information desk and the print follows. If no slip comes out, a staff member can approve the job on the screen.

Cut at home with a craft knife and a ruler, right on the line; scissors leave a wavy edge. Measure one frame before cutting: a 50×60 mm photo must be 5 cm by 6 cm. If it is a few millimetres larger or smaller, cropping or fit-to-page was left on at the machine; print the same file again with that setting off.

How to Print ID Photos at Migros: Correct and Incorrect Examples

Nine frames of the same person: the first one follows the rules, the other eight show the mistakes that get applications rejected most often. When you upload your own photo, the AI checks for exactly these errors in seconds.

Offices look at the photo, not at where it was printed. For the residence permit, the Turkish ID card, the passport and the driving licence the same biometric rules apply: taken within the last six months, 50×60 mm, a white or very light plain background, a neutral expression, eyes open and facing the camera, no shadows on the face and no glare on glasses. The official wording is on NVİ's biometric photo page (in Turkish), and the Presidency of Migration Management explains how photos are used in residence permit applications on its photo usage page. If the frame printed at Migros meets these rules, it is no different from a studio print; if it does not, good paper will not save it.

The most common mistake is printing a raw selfie straight from the phone and trying to cut it to size. In a selfie taken at arm's length the wide angle distorts the face, the head is too small for the frame, the background is the grey or yellow tone of the wall and side light darkens half of the face. These problems show up not at the print but at the application desk, and most rejection reasons look like the frames below. An analysis at home catches them before you print; how the background turns white is explained in the guide to making a photo background white.

One more distinction: not every application wants a print. e-Devlet and most visa portals take only a digital file. The residence permit needs both: one photo uploaded to the e-ikamet form and printed photos for the file at the appointment, so a 10×15 sheet of four covers a first application as well as a renewal. Where a print is required, the age of the photo matters; the six-month rule for IDs and passports is covered in the photo validity guide. Keep the spare frames from the same sheet and you will not need a new print for another application within six months.

Do's and Don'ts

Do

5
  • Call the store before you go and ask whether the Jet Photo machine works
  • Download the sheet as JPG and save it to your phone's gallery
  • Send the file by QR code; on a cable, allow file transfer on the phone
  • Choose the standard 10×15 print on the machine and set the quantity to one
  • Measure one frame with a ruler after printing, then cut with a craft knife

Don't

5
  • Do not take the sheet's PDF to the kiosk; the machine reads image files
  • Do not leave cropping, frames, filters or auto-enhance switched on at the machine
  • Do not print a raw selfie and try to cut it to size; background and head ratio are not fixed at the machine
  • Do not send the file over WhatsApp as a photo; send it as a document
  • Do not print ID photos with the collage, calendar or card templates

FAQ

Can I re-download my digital file later?
Yes. The clean file you purchased is tied to your account and can be re-downloaded from your orders page at any time — even if you change phones or delete the file, it is not lost. The same applies to guest orders: use the login link sent to the email you gave at checkout to access your account and file.
Will authorities accept an ID photo taken at home?
Yes — authorities do not care where the photo was taken, only whether it meets biometric standards: correct size, plain light background, neutral expression, sufficient resolution and proper head ratio. A frame taken at home with a phone that satisfies these rules is indistinguishable from a studio shot; our AI checks exactly these rules one by one and cleans the background to studio quality. The final acceptance decision always rests with the authority, so take the analysis warnings seriously.
Can I print ID photos at home and what paper do I need?
You can, but three details decide the result. First the paper: plain A4 is not accepted, you need glossy or matte photo paper. Second the scale: in the printer dialog choose 100% actual size instead of "fit to page", otherwise a 50×60 mm frame shifts by a few millimetres — check the print with a ruler. Third the cutting: cut straight with a craft knife and a ruler, not with scissors. Because home printers are limited in colour accuracy and durability, for critical applications it is safer to print at a photo shop or order our pre-laid-out 10×15 sheet.
Can I print an ID photo at Migros?
Yes, at Migros stores that have a Jet Photo print machine. The machine does not take photos; it prints the frame you send from your phone by QR code, cable or USB stick, and you pay the slip it prints at the checkout or the information desk. The smoothest route for ID photos is to prepare the frame to size beforehand, bring it as a JPG sheet laid out on 10×15 paper and take one standard 10×15 print: one print gives four 50×60 mm or eight 35×45 mm photos. Steps and the store list are in the guide to printing ID photos at Migros.
Which Migros stores have a Jet Photo kiosk?
Migros does not publish the list on its website. The list its WhatsApp customer service sent in October 2025 has 82 stores in 29 provinces, mostly 5M, MMM and shopping-mall stores. Among them: Cevahir, Ataşehir Merkez, Akbatı, Mall of İstanbul, Torium and Viaport in Istanbul; Ankamall, Bilkent Center, Eryaman and Taurus in Ankara; Bornova, Balçova, Çiğli and Gaziemir in İzmir; Antalya 5M and 5M Alanya on the coast. Machines break down and some have reportedly been removed, so call the store before you go. The full list by province is in the Migros ID photo guide.
How many ID photos fit on one 10×15 print?
The 10×15 paper is really 4×6 inches (101.6×152.4 mm). Laid out at real size with no gaps, it holds four 50×60 mm biometric photos, four 45×60 mm photos, eight 35×45 mm visa photos or six 50×50 or 51×51 mm square photos. For more copies, a 15×21 (6×8 in) sheet holds nine 50×60 photos and an A4 sheet twenty. The multiple-copies file on the order page comes in this layout, with cut lines.
Should I take a JPG or a PDF to a photo kiosk?
A JPG. Photo kiosks read the file as an image from your phone's gallery (QR code or cable) or from a USB stick; a PDF does not show up in the gallery and may not print at the kiosk. On the order page, tap JPG in the “Other formats” line of the multiple-copies card, save it to your phone, choose the standard 10×15 print on the machine and keep cropping and filters off. The PDF is for printing at 100% on a home or studio printer: its page size is the paper itself, so it cannot be scaled wrongly.
